ScholarMatch is partnering with Amazon this holiday season to promote a wonderful opportunity for high school students interested in STEM!

Every year, Amazon offers college scholarships to high school students who intend to study computer science in college. The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship program provides students with a $40,000 scholarship, plus a guaranteed paid summer internship at Amazon following their freshman year.

Amazon will choose 100 underserved high school seniors across the country to receive $40k for college and a guaranteed internship coding at Amazon, in an effort to build a diverse tech industry. Applications are open until January 25, 2022!

Eligibility requirements:

✅ Be a high school senior in the U.S. who has completed or is currently enrolled in a computer science course — dual enrollment courses also count! If you haven’t taken a formal computer science course but have learned on your own, you can opt in to take a brief assessment instead.

✅ Be planning to attain a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or another computer science-related field of study.

✅ Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

✅ Must demonstrate financial need

✅ Must be employment authorized to work in the U.S. Example: Employment Authorization Document holder, Permanent Resident, or U.S. Citizen.
